A really excellent local restaurant using fish caught that day. Some of the best local food we've had on our travels, great atmosphere, friendly and welcoming staff - the lady who served us may have been the owner, was lovely to us and spent lots of time explaining the menu and helping us understand. We tried to come back the next night but they were closed, so we'll have to visit Yakushima again!

You can eat sushi and sashimi of Toki Fish, steamed potato sashimi and so on. A little pricey, but acceptable quality and quantity.

You can drink tankan liquor, a local citrus, very light, beer, sake and soft drinks or passion fruits-based drinks (local speciality).The service was one of the best I had. The young lady who served us was bubbly, smily and helpful. We passed this place twice mid-week and it was always full of locals, so that speaks words as to the quality. There are both tables and japanese style tatami.We paid 7,000+ for 3. Will definitely return if I have a chance.

A small location with lots of seats inside. Fresh nigiri set or fresh sashimi set is the recommendation. Both were a bit expensive (around 2000 yen), but contained extremely fresh and delicious fish. In my personal opinion, to get the best bang for your buck, I’d definitely recommend getting the sashimi set over the nigiri set (I got the nigiri set and saw the difference).

I went to trekking on Yakushima which was a wishful idea. On the celebration of the farewell party and the Jomon cedar trekking completion day of the previous day ... and all the cuisines I went in Changzhou were tasty, but what is more, the bright voice of young female general (or what? Pretty average seafood place. Lots of locally sourced stuff (try the "local fish" nigiri = 地魚にぎり), but don't expect to be blown away.
